# Searching for strings is just too long while debugging

I am searching for strings when debugging. It takes ages and I don’t know when it will stop.  
Why? It’s painfull

Because You’re not only searching Your loaded database but all loaded memory regions. If there’s a lot of memory there’s a lot to search 🙂 Nonetheless I think IDA could be a bit more responsive to user action during these intense moments (new graph in 9.2 is similar).
