Jump anywhere window position

Hi,

I’ve been using Jump anywhere more recently and noticed that when opening a database, the window initially appears in the top-left quarter of the screen, which makes it seem like the initial position is miscalculated. After manually centering it, subsequent openings keep the correct position.

Would it be possible to look into this? Thanks.
I’m on macOS

Hi,
Could you let us know the exact macOS and IDA version you’re using?
On our side, the initial window position seems to behave as expected (centered) on macOS, Windows, and Linux (both with IDA 9.2 and 9.3 beta 1).

Hi

I’m using IDA 9.2 on Intel macOS 15.7.2.

I did some troubleshooting and at first thought this was caused by my default IDA desktop. After removing it and reopening the IDB, the window was centered as expected (because IDA opens in fullscreen by default).

However, once I resized the window to about one-fifth of the screen, saved the database, and reopened it, the Jump anywhere window position was wrong again.

It looks like the issue is tied to the IDAs initial window size.

Hi, thank you for the extra details. As we struggle to reproduce the issue, would you be able to record a short video showing what you’re experiencing? You can share it via our support channel and open a ticket this way. Thanks!
