The IDA 8.5 released recently requires a new license server. The 8.x licenses are to my knowledge valid even after the support period has ended.
For running the IDA 8.5 license server you have to download the required files from https://my.hex-rays.com - the hexlic the crt and the key file for the IDA 8.x license server.
I noticed that the crt file contains a certificate which has a validity period that ends at that day where the support period of my IDA 8.5 licenses ends.
I assume the crt + key file used as HTTPS server certificate by the server. This also means the license server will stop working at the days when my support period ends - which is a bit contrariety to the fact that my IDA 8.x floating licenses are supposed to work after that day.
Therefore I would like to know how customers are supposed to run an IDA 8.x license server if their support period has ended.
