So recently I was searching for IDA plugin for creating signature of a function . I found several plugin, but one of them got DMCA by hexray . why ? is it illegal to make open source plugin ?

Hello. What do you mean by that ? Isn’t IDA pro sdk can be downloaded by anyone on ida download center as long as we logged in ?
Yes, currently the SDK is only available to customers with a valid license, not to everyone on the Internet.
